Does anyone here in OCUK know about multi-touch monitors? Checked the shop haven't seen any of them. The reason I am need of such a monitor is I am preparing for the new Windows 8 operating system with the metro UI. A family member has a problem with eye-sight so a multi-touch operating system will be better use because the mouse pointer is really hard to track around and spends most of its time searching for it.

The use of an iPad for him was much more convenient.

So anyone out there know anything?

Regards, :)

There are accessibility futures to help those with poor eyesight in Windows 7.
Control Panel > Ease of Access > Ease of Access Center > Make the mouse easier to use
You can make it bigger there.

Of course you can do some things yourself as well.
As for your question, Dell ST2220T fits the criteria?

Yes I know about the features in windows 7 regarding about enlarging the mouse pointer I have already done that but it still has no use. Thank you for the suggestion.

As for the monitor it looks pretty decent but I was hoping to find a larger screen around the 24 inch size or greater.

Did quite a bit of google searching found some addons that you can add to a normal monitor but don't know if they are that great. Was hoping to find multi-touch screens like those on tablets just in bigger size.

Have you checked out the leap motion controller? Its going to support windows 8, and It seems very accurate, I reckon its going to be a really good way to interact with metro

Is pretty cheap aswell, will be able to use any size screen, and wont have to worry about finger marks all over the screen

think ill be getting one

Overclockers do an optical multitouch iiyama 24" for £240, a lot of touch monitors are either smaller than 24" or larger than 32".

The addons are not normally that great as they would need to be calibrated, there are some companies who add touch tech to existing monitors (inside the bezel) but this can be expensive.
