Hi guys, off to sunny Alcudia in a few days and wanted to pack lite. So we have two phones and one tablet but only one USB cable to plug into plug and into the wall. I have seen USB cables in wilkos for £2 each so getting 3 of those and we have seen this

Can this be used to charge the devices? plugging the big USB into USB plug adapter and into the wall via Eu plug thing? I know it says for connecting to PCs and data transfer etc but would or could it be used for charging?

Off to town soon to get the cables any way so need to know if its worth buying this too. It will come in handy at home anyway but for holiday it seems a good idea.

Most USB mains plugs have a max power rating suitable for charging maybe 1-2 phones at the same time. The more phones you connect to the same plug will either stop all of them charging, or seriously increase the time taken to fully charge them. Using a host powered USB hub which I think is what that is will also remove some of the available power, making it even less reliable.

If you are going to do it, you are better off with a mains powered hub which should be able to supply all devices with enough power.
