i have search the forum and couldnt find any thing that helped so here is my question

I have 2 hard drives and i want to know if i install windows x64 on both of them how can i make windows choose which hdd to load and this is possible how do i rename the drive so that i know which drive is which

also one hard drive is sata and the other is ide is this a problem or not

the reason why i want to do this is because i want to install games on one hhd and have the other hdd for college work etc.

If you install on 2 different HDs/partitions, the BOOT.INI which resides on the boot disk (determined by BIOS setting) will change to give you an option at boot time (before the Windows loading screen) which OS to choose :)

thanks for the responce

but is it possible to rename the drives so i can call one games drive and the other work drive

also will the default drive that boots be the primary drive because i know if you leave it for a few seconds it will load atuomaticly

Yes you can. First change the drive label accordingly. To distinguish which OS install is which, you need to edit the BOOT.INI file. Its very simple (using Notepad), just Google it :)

By default, the main/first OS will boot in 30-seconds. Also that you can change or turn-off
