I have been temping for a very short period of time. We start at 11 and do t get out of the depo unitl 12 or 1pm we have about 4 to 5 hours depending upon how far away your route is before you need to be back, delivering about 40 to 60 parcels. A lot of addresses don't show up accurately on the satnav or Google maps . And you can be given the run around if your in the country and a lot of people don't have house numbers displayed so getting your bearings in this circumstance can be disorientating , with the time scale to deliver with one or two delays pressure surely builds , stressful as ****
Each route is always different so you never get to know the route , my main issue is satnav inaccuracies, otherwise I'd be able to fill in as many as possible, but it keeps ******* me , while being within a tight deadline.

What do you think 40 to 60 in 4 to 5 hours with no previous experience , with sat nav that can sometimes show a general area , and Google maps can direct you to a feild with no houses for over a mile

I do similar deliveries though in a small truck often to farms and named houses where postcodes are nowhere near. Simply have to get used to it or chuck it in. It isn't healthy work. Especially in the dark of winter.

I did a few days of this a few years back. I was in between jobs and thought I'd try it out for Christmas but it wasnt for me. It's a pretty tough job, experience really counts. You have to order your parcels, drive like the clappers and as you said may have problems finding the address. Most people would think this job is easy. 60 parcels sounds a lot. And the few days I did it the routes were fixed. So even more difficult for you. Hard to advise all you can do is try. Maybe start with less parcels.
