Multimedia/fast internet laptop needed!!! help!

I've got £700 or less to spend on a laptop I want for internet access and multimedia use...

Has any one got any good suggestions/spec???

I picked up a Sony Vaio FW56 from a well known high street electrical shed, named after something like a meteorite £699, down from £899, core 2 T6600, 4Gb / 500Gb / Blu-Ray / 16.4" full HD X-Black screen. Bought for multimedia / web / kids homework / iPlayer. Very nice, and works just right for it's intended use. Got it on buy now, pay in 6 months as well...
