Multiplayer RPG.. ?

Right, basically I'm looking for a good RPG (Levelling/gearing up) that me and a friend can play co-op over the net, Free is good although a modest cost (Not monthly mind !) is acceptable

We've done Diablo 2 etc, any ideas chaps ?

While not "good" http://hellgate.t3fun.com/home/home.aspx hellgate london is now free to play I believe haven't tried it in a long long time tho, its not terrible for playing co-op.

Titan Quest + Exp is a great suggestion if you enjoyed Diablo 2.

Is it more of an action RPG you are after?

If a more traditional RPG is suitable, I seem to remember Baldurs Gate being multiplayer.

Then there is the Neverwinter Nights series.

All can be had for a cheap price (gog.com)

Personally found the online play with randoms in Dungeon Siege 3 shocking, but could see it being fun with a friend.

Boarderlands is a great shout! me and my mate had and still have great fun with that!

Borderlands is fun, but can quickly get a bit repetitive and dull, imho. Though YMMV.
If you haven't tried it, it's definitely worth a go and you can likely pick it up cheap these days.

Tried to get into borderlands, but theres a lack of servers and its not something I'd play single player.

Am I right thinking the browser only shows the games that have yet to start, and does not show games that are in progress?

That would make sense, or is the game just not as popular anymore.

Also, I only have the basic blands game, do a lot of people play the dlc?
