I need to extend wireless reception across the house.
I have a Netgear DG834G router connected to the internet.
Thats connected via a netgear homeplug to a Linksys WRT300N wireless router which i've disable the routing function and set to work as an access point.
And lastly connected via a long network cable another DG834G wireless router set to act as an acces point only.
I've put the same SSID on all.
Security options in the first netgear are limited. Only has WPA-PSK compared to the linksys which has PSK-Personal, PSK2-Personal, PSK-Enterprise, PSK2-
Enterprise, RADIUS, or WEP . Then an option for TKIP or AES. which of these 2 does the netgear use so i can set it to be the same?
It also has options for standard or wide channel. all devices are G so i just used standard channel.
second question should all devices be on teh same wireless channel or different channel.
I would normally use different channels (1,6 and 11), but having saved wirless settings for the netgear it didn't pick up the linksys, i had to reenter them when i was only within range of the linksys.
Any tips or corrections to what i am doing wrong?
