Hi,

I keep getting BSOD's on start-up. Once she's fired up it's stable and never have a problem. I've managed to capture a few of these BSOD's and I get the following:

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (Multiple ones of these)
KERNAL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE
SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION (win32kfull.sys)

Plus others, which I haven't had time to get my camera out for to grab a pic to get the code.

They are random, not following any particular trend of when they happen and a quick search leaves me a bit baffled.

System is:
i7-4790k OC'd to a very stable 4.6GHz
16GB HyperX Savage DDR3
Strix GTX 980
Gigabyte Z97X-G1 Gaming motherboard
HyperX 240GB SSD.
Windoze 10

Any ideas where to start?

Try at stock - your OC may be stable, but booting tends to stress components in different ways.

You can also try disabling Fast Startup in Windows power settings.

If the BSODs persist, use Blue Screen Viewer (simpler) or the Windows SDK (complex, but more detailed) to interpret your crash logs, this can help point out faulty drivers.

Have you tested the memory with Memtest?

Just downloading the SDK now, will investigate.

Memtest was my first thing to go to after there was a memory related BSOD, but 5 passes it came out clean so I can only assume that it's okay?

Will try stock clocks, but due to this problems random nature it may take some time to diagnose the problem this way.

8 passes is generally recommended, and in fact I caught a faulty stick on the 8th pass a few months ago. In my opinion 5 passes is ok for now, you can always revisit memtest if you have no luck with other avenues.

Random issues are always more painful to pin down as it's so difficult to isolate the cause :(
