I currently have a X1900 and will shortly be adding a X1600 (multiple monitors).

Is there anything I should know before hand?

I.e. do I remove X1900 drivers, shutdown, add x1600, boot and install catalyst... or something else?

:D yeah the graphics drivers should pick everythign up fine. at the worst you may have to reinstall the drivers but nothing more than that
Awesome. I thought I'd have to do some witchcraft to get the X1900 and X1600 cohabiting. Bring on the tri-tfts....

Indeed, i was worried when I shoved my x1300 along with my x1900 and it worked without any praying. :D

Getting a 7600gt to work with an 8 series however......

tell me about it. my 8800 and my 7300 dont play well together. its even tougher in vista as you probably know, you cant use two seperate drivers and only the whql drivers support both cards.

I read about this... the whole 'driver' issue confused me. I decided the X1900/X1600 use the same driver so Aero will work etc... Doesn't really affect me as I had to rollback (temporarily) from Vista to XP to use a bit of software in development.
