Multiple Desktops under ONE user account?

If I recall, I believe this is possible in the Mac OS right?

Any way of achieving anything similiar under Vista using 3rd party apps or not?

I want to achieve somehting similiar to multiple tabs as "Home Pages" - You boot your PC and your most wanted apps are allready running on their own "Desktop".
