Hey Guys,

A client of ours wants to install some televisions which will display a video or powerpoint presentation across a building. We are not quite sure what we need. They have a server to stream all of this from so no problem there.

To begin with they just want two televisions but will eventually be adding another six.

We are looking more on the side of networking? so server > controller > ballons > TV?

I believe you can get a network to vga adapters. These convert video signal pass it along a netowrk cable then re-convert it back into vga at the other end.

The flee bay do them

I recently set something like this up using an AdderView AV204T and 4 x AV201R using a device called DDS Ghost to set the resolution. They transmit video, sound and also serial, we've used the serial to schedule powering the TV's on and off.

We use VGA to CAT5 convertors to put remote monitors out for viewing CCTV feeds.

If you're looking for point to multipoint, might be worth speaking to Studio Systems

We use a similar setup. The important thing to remember is it's VGA > Cat5, not VGA to IP the link will need to be patched directly back to the server not via networking equipment (e.g. Switches).
