Multiple Domains- One Website

Hi guys

I currently run a website for my parents guest house with 1 domain name. I was considering buying some additional domains and forwarding them onto the main site as there are some pretty decent domains that are related that are available.

* Will this increase presence on google?
* Does google/search engines frown upon this?
* Any other issues you can think of?

What you might want to do is to register the domains and create mini-sites that are specifically targetted around those domains (optimised landing pages). Those mini-sites eventually lead the visitor to your main site.

Just having multiple domains pointed at your main site won't really improve anything.

I wasn't too sure- but your plan sounds more reasonable. Although I can see the landing pages being quite awful (to think up decent content, instead of just "go here please").
