Hi

I have two exchange accounts that I connect to via Outlook 2016. One is my work email address, the other my personal account. Both work fine within Outlook and have no issues. This does not extend to Skype for business however!

Skype is setup on my work laptop for our business system and as such is automatically tied to my work account and that is how I want it to be, except that it is constantly asking for my personal password for some reason. No other accounts are listed in Skype config yet if I don't enter the password for my personal account, Outlook will then not connect to it.

Are there any hidden settings that is causing Skype to want to access my personal account, either in skype or outlook?

Thanks,

Chris

Is your 365/skype email different to your main exchange email by any chance?

I have similar issues with my work account, whoever set my 365 account up used my [email protected] rather than my exchange account [email protected] and it never syncs properly with contacts, hit and miss with sign in etc.

My personal is different to my work email, both are running through exchange; work on premise 2016 server and my personal through Office 365.

Skype login is my work email address as it currently stands, but it still asks to sync with my personal email address which is not setup in Skype!

Not for Skype no, just as part of Outlook using native exchange connection. There is nothing in the appdata storage area for Lync for my personal address, only my work one... Its just weird that a standard windows credential popup with Skype as the title comes up, and then if I don't enter the password for my account it then disconnects it from Outlook, yet in no way is my personal account even referenced in Skype.
