Multiple family users set up

First try with Mac OS and I'm gradually dragging my stuff over from pc. My question is do you use multiple users. I'm thinking of giving my son his own user profile but does this alter the way you back up? Can I still back up the machine all at once?

Any negatives to multiple users set up?

I don’t any more but when there was a ‘family Mac’ in the house, we all had our own accounts.

Time Machine successfully backed up the entire thing, no problem.

Thank you, I will set my son up his own to keep his school bookmarks etc separate and not have him mess up any of my settings!
