multiple fan control

I was wondering if it would be possible for someone to control multiple fans using a rheostat controller. The combination I had in mind was the

Akasa AK FC-03 Fan Controller Pro

using several

Akasa AK-FY320 3 Pin Fan cables

for each knob. It might sound pointless, but the trouble is I have a case with a lot of case fans but only 5; 5 1/4 device bays, one of which i desperately need to free up. Would this work?

hmm, the plan was to run 4 120mm fans per dial. Too much you think?

well, what I wanted to do is move a lot of air but do it quietly. There are 7 120mm case fans. If i didn't use them all there'd be odd, seemingly pointless holes in my case too

I've done a little research, and the controller can handle 17 watts per channel. The fans I use, only drain 1.8 Watts each. So surely I could run all my fans on one channel?! (not that i'd want to lol)
