Multiple fans from one supply?

Hi all, i'm just putting together the bits for my new (and first) water cooling setup (looking to run a 120.3 rad for CPU, NB & GPU cooling) in my PC-7 and currently have 3 x Zalman ZM-F3 120mm fans ready to cool it. My question is...

Will running all three fans from one 3 pin on the motherboard (ASUS P5W DH deluxe) damage anything?, obviously running them in parallel the voltage should be fine - but will the added current draw damage any of the controllers on the board?

The obvious would be a fan controller but not overly keen on all the wiring that goes with it (bit of a case tidy freak!) i've also seen the molex-powered fan power blocks, but again - messy.

Ideally i'd just go with all three fans into one plug and continue to control them all (as one) using speedfan as i am currently doing with the exisiting fans (CPU, front 120, rear 120 and 80mm HDD cooling)

Any help/advice appreciated!

You need to check that the combined Wattage/Ampage of the fans is less than that supported by the fan header (it should tell you in the motherboard header).

Though I'm running three 0.3A fans on a 0.7A header without any problems.

As above, just neatly solder the two additional sets of leads into one plug and use heatshrink to insulate and finish...

Or i guess if you have the kit (which i dont for these tiny pins) you could try and crimp all three leads to one pin?
