Hey All,

I have multiple gmail accounts, an old one, one for home and one for work.

Rather than log in and out of each seperately to check for new mail, is there an easy way to check all three at once with a single click of the mouse?

Someone has recommended poptray so going to give that a try, but wondered what else was available?

Cheers :)

How about make one more gmail account and consolidate all the accounts in the new one using labels cleverly too. Check the "account" options in gmails settings and see how you can connect via pop to grab you emails directly. The only problem with this is you will fill your email space up 3 times quicker. But gmail are raising the storage to 6gb or so by next year i think (i've totally forgotten the fact here :D)

I'm personally not a fan of the archaic pop3 email system, if gmail used imap that would be great, but i use a few different computers over the day maybe, and it's pretty easy for emails to get lost or ignored because you have them local on another computer... Central webmail means unless i'm without internet i definately have ym mail (and if im without internet theres nout much you could do with mail anyway).

You can configure GMAil so that it ALWAYS leaves a copy on their server when downloading to Outlook, Thunderbird ..etc
Thats how I have my GMAil and outlook setup, that way if anything happens to my PST backup here I can always find the e-mails on Gmails servers.

Just thought you might like to know, Gmail is now introducing IMAP.

Switch your language to US English, log off, log on again and see if it's there in the "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" settings.

If not, try again in a few days. Mine was activated some time last night. It's ace. I can now check gmail on my phone without worrying about the sync issues of POP. :D

I used a program called Klipfolio as an RSS feed reader. It has a "Klip" which checks and shows any new/unread emails in your GMail account.

You can duplicate the Gmail klip and configure each one to check each account :)
