Hi All,

Looking for some advice on my graphics set up please :)

Im planning a dual/tri monitor set up with also a TV on the wall that I would occasionally want to use for the PC.

Is it possible to have 2 separate graphics cards? 1 would be performance driven i.e for gaming and used for the dual/tri monitors, the other can be low end, just for the TV.

With the above set up, would I be able to drag windows over to the TV? I’m thinking If this works it would be a cheaper way of using up to 4 monitors rather than buying a performance graphics card that can handle 4 monitors by itself.

Thanks!

Another option would be to run some of the monitors from the output(s) on your motherboard - if it has any. Modern Intel CPUs can run up to 3 screens on their own.

Displayport is a godsend for running multi-monitors, but you can make DVI/HDMI and even (if you have to) VGA work if you have the right GPU and adapters. What motherboard and CPU are you running/planning to run? Also, what inputs are your monitors/TVs going to have?
