I'm having trouble installing a fx5200 pci card into my vista machine which already has a 8800gt in it I was hoping to run 3 monitors from the pc. I've read http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/device/display/multimonVista.mspx#EMC and it seems to suggest I can't have two graphics card with different driver! Can some one confirm this? And does any one know of a way aroung this problem besides going back to xp.

Cheers

That's absolutely shocking. Even Windows Millenium / 2000 could handle multiple graphics card drivers, I used to run a Nvidia gf2mx AGP and 3dfx Voodoo3 PCI alongside each other powering dual monitors circa 2000-2

yeah i used to do it with xp :( think i'm gonna have to buy a 6200 pci cause that uses the same drivers as the 8800gt i think, unless someone call tell me otherwise!

errr on closer inspection 8800gt and 6200 don't use the same drivers :( the 8800gts does... has anyone else tried running more then 2 monitors in vista with 2 different graphics cards?
