Multiple graphics cards (PCI-E) query

Got a query which I would like some advise on from the those in the know, I have an ageing machine which I use for my office work / occasional gaming and I would like to be able to hook up 3 monitors for use whilst programming rather than just 2. My currrent spec is:

Asus p5k-e wifi-ap motherboard
Geforce GTX 560
4GB RAM
E6600

My graphics card states that it will only ever put out to 2 monitors and not wanting to spend megabucks on getting this working, my ideal solution would be to put in another cheap graphics card. My motherboard states that it has 2x PCI-E x16 slots, one running at full 16x but the other running at x4. If I was to put in a cheap nVidia card (to save driver hassle) without running SLI into the x4, would this have negative affect on my GTX 560?

I would love for it to be as simple as putting in the extra card and everything being happy whilst the 560 does the heavy work and the new cheap card runs the additional monitor for desktop use...

Many thanks in advance!

Thanks for the option, didn't know multihead graphics card were that cheap nowadays!

I only ever game on one monitor and use my second monitor currently for desktop stuff and my intention would be to continue doing the same but with an extra monitor. I would like to keep the GTX 560 for the rare occasion when I do get time to fire up a game!
