Ive got 3 IP's with zen broadband, I want to have 1 to my pc and another ip for another computer on the network. I got a Netgear DG834PN how is this done.

The reason is both computer's want to host the same application, so port forwarding is'nt possible.

Thanks

Is that 3 Usable IP's?

What you need to do is have the DHCP settings on the router give out the usable IP's, Start with the first usable and end with the last :)

Oh and disable NAT (Network Address Translation).

If you need anymore help post back :)

The router needs to be assigned the IP the ISP gives you specifically for the router as well, for the LAN side.

So my IPs for my 8IP (5 usable) are:

82.152.xxx.xx4 = Network
82.152.xxx.xx5 = Router
82.152.xxx.xx6 -> 82.152.xxx.x10 = Usable IPs
82.152.xxx.x11 = Broadcast

You've got 5 usable IPs, unless something's gone belly up. The smallest allocation Zen dish out (other than a single IP obviously) is a /29 - ie 8 IPs (with 5 usable, excluding your router).
The manual should give some hints, but most routers have issues with no-NAT and multi-NAT makes them cry.

Managed to get on the net again, but if I dont setup port forwarding I can't host a warcraft 3 game, I thought that all ports for that external Ip would come to the machine.
