Is it possible to have more than one IP with Virgin cable, even if you need to pay for it?

I'm used to Zen ADSL, where I had 5 usable IPs and would like to have an extra one.

I remember when I used to have cable over 5 years ago it was possible to go through a proxy to get a different IP, is that still do-able?

Fraid not. It is dymanic, but you tend to keep the same IP for months unless you change mac address (new router or network card etc).

You don't just get "an extra one" if you need more you will need a block of 16, 13 of which are usable for end user devices.

I'm doubtful that they would offer a block of IP's.

Using a proxy doesn't give you a new IP address. It makes your IP address look like the proxy's one when you go on sites because all internet traffic is routed through it.
