Multiple mic input streams to laptop?

What is the best(And cheapest) way of connecting multiple microphones to laptop with synchronised audio streams? One of my collegues needs to record a panel debate with microphones for each person, but needs them to be synchronised for mixing etc. Any ideas?

A mixing desk will be the cheapest solution.

Otherwise you are loking at something like this:

Make sure the mixer has mic-pres!

You will probably also need a 2 x RCA -> 1 x stereo minijack cable.
