Multiple Monitor Solutions for Mac

Is there a way of connecting multiple monitors to a MacBook? I can see from this page:

http://www.apple.com/uk/displays/

that you can connect one external display, but is there a way of connecting more than one external monitor? On the PC there are products available, what about for Macs?
