multiple network switches

Hi, I have BT broadband, the hub is in the Ground Floor lounge, but the wifi does not reach my new garden cabin.
I have an ethernet cable from the BT Hub that goes upstairs to one of the rear bedrooms to a NetGear 8 port GB switch, which connects to various thing upstairs, laptops, smart TV, Printer, NAS drive, etc.
I was thinking of running another network cable from the NetGear switch (via one of the spare ports) outside to the cabin and connecting to another NetGear (5 port) switch inside the cabin, which I can then connect to a laptop, printer, tablet, etc in the cabin.
Would this work ok, eg: can I run a network switch from another network switch?
All the ports on the BT Hub are already used, so can't use one of those.
NB: I have used a power line adaptor / extender in the past in my old house, but the bloody thing did not work very well, so am wary of using one of these again.
Or is there a better / easier way to extend my wifi / network into the garden / cabin?
Cheers

Yeah, it'll work fine, cable is the best way.
If you really want to make things redundant you could run another cable to the BT Hub, but it's probably really overkill unless it's easy to do.

You can daisy chain switches, you just have to be conscious that most of your devices will be sharing a single link, so if you're heavy on file transfers, you may not see great performance.

My cabin is run off of a daisy chain of switches. I have a switch off the router, a cable up into the loft where there's another switch. Then the feed to the cabin from the loft switch into the cabin where there's another switch and a second access point.

As mentioned above you'll be limited in speed with multiple file transfers but even with my Nas/Server in the cabin it's never been a problem for me whatsoever.

Great thanx guys, thought it would be ok, just wanted to check, I'm not data heavy, mostly web browsing, email and the occasional music DL. I'm not into heavy graphics, latest games, video editing or large DL's, so should be fine, thanx again.
