EOC will udate soon & confirm stompage of pmbuzz & kyzia:)
Unfortunately mikeymike is hard on my heels, so its 2 steps forward & 1 back.
More parpage to come thanks to smp goodness:D

3hours 24 mins till i dump 587 delicious points, depending on how many you just added, i may overtake you within hours

This is my list of slackers to stomp for in next few days:

Pilgrim57 ~6 hours
pmbuzz ~6 hours
Kyzia ~1 day
marktime ~3 days
Wozz ~3 days
the_running_man21 ~4 days

I shall need to purchase some new footwear i think.

I've only got 2 working at the moment, 1 SMP on ~18hours a day, and one dell on 24/7 :) Its just because SMP is so IMBA to normal client now, using one SMP client has essentially quadrupled the output from this one PC over using 2 normal clients.

True. I can see their logic though, it deserves extra points to get people running it. It's beta software which nobody would use without some persuasion.

Not only is it beta (quite stable considering) - but it uses lots of resources so only mainstream duel core cpu's and above can run it, and meet the short deadlines. So it's due to the bonus points for high ram usage and time taken on stanfords single core benchmarck pc that give its such high ppd's on duel/quad core machines

My SMP units sometimes crash early on & had one the other day that stalled [no error message] & had to be restarted 3 times before it took off: a 2604.
My CPU's are between 85-90% with 1 SMP running, so can only smurf the net, email while its running - no gaming:(

I get this wierd thing where sometimes i can load a new WU instantly, other times it can take a few hours, if im at the computer it doesnt matter as i can restart the client a few times and it picks one up, just looked at linux now though, finished a 3025 last night at 8pm, left on all night, only downloaded a new WU at 4AM this morning, thats a 10 hour gap without doing anything  unless the work servers were down/empty last night i don't get why it took so long to get a new WU.

I've seen this comment a few times before. Don't know what the cause is but it must be frustrating. I'm not running Linux 24/7 so avoid this problem by closing down FAH once it has uploaded then download another later so I know I'll be around when it finishes. I must confess I've got a bit paranoid about it running without crashing as I've lost 4-6 hrs crunching due to that, a few times. Strange thing is they always seem to start again ok from last check point:confused:

Here's what it says in the log, from just after i finished the last WU until it finally started a new one:

Here's what it says in the log, from just after i finished the last WU until it finally started a new one:

According to the logs for that server the Net Load has been very high fairly consistently. Anything over 30-40 means the server is heavily loaded, it hit 83 at one point around midnight UK time and has been in the high 50-60's a lot of the time :(

http://vspx27.stanford.edu/logs/171.64.65.56.log.html

I've read that Stanford are getting more hardware to help cope so hopefully this is only temporary

Ok well i clicked on that log and couldn't make nor tail from it so i'll just accept the server is busy and i'll try to watch the client more closely when im in.
