Are MS going to sell windows 7 licenses for multiple PC's like they do with office?

I want to upgrade all 3 of my PC's to 7 but that's gonna be expensive if I have to buy 3 licenses.

Last year there was talk of a subscription based model for home PCs, a bit like the volume licence key program offered to businesses. Not heard anything recently on this though.

imo, for their own sake they should offer 3 system licences, like they do with office.

as long as you can't do it with the domain joining os's, it's win/win for ms.

It's not quantifiable. What if you house is hooooooggge?

I think a 3 machine licence could be useful, but it does deviate away form MS' current licensing model.

it does, but they have started doing it with office :)

office must be one of the most pirated softwares ever though

They've been doing it for years, but not with the intention to blanket licence 3 machines. The idea behind it was to licence mobile devices so that you could author a document on your home PC and edit it on your laptop. It's not meant to be used on three static devices (unless it changed since Office 2003, which is entriely possible).
