Hi there,

I've been having none stop problems today since getting my graphics card today and it is stressing me out :(

I am now currently on no drivers and cannot install any. I keep getting a "this graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware" error everytime I try to install a driver.

That's my first problem..can someone please help. I literally was running on Intel HD graphics until today, installed the GPU, installed latest drivers but they were terrible and kept causing crashes.

I then tried to install 350.12-desktop-win8-win7-winvista-64bit-international-whql but kept getting that error. I thought uninstalling my current drivers completely would help but I still get that error.

Would really appreciate some help please

Motherboard update would be my first thought, Get the latest one, Then make sure you have the correct power leads for the card.

What gpu have you got?

I have the latest update for the motherboard. Power cables are correct too (installed the card a few hours ago).

Gigabyte 980ti G1 Gaming

I managed to install the latest drivers straight away but games kept crashing and a lot of people kept having the same problems and advised to revert to an older driver which is what I tried to do but then kept getting that error.

I have just done a system restore to a few days ago and currently downloading 350.12 Nvidia driver.

Ok just tried to install the driver and got that same damn error.

"this graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware"

Why is this happening all of a sudden? It didn't happen when I first installed the card.

I have done a system restore and uninstalled the previous drivers.

You need to instal the most recent driver,Old driver sets do not support the 980ti(Its only just come out)

Edit Its driver set 353.06 you need.No other driver is compatibile with 980ti's

Sadly this driver is unstable, and many users have abandoned it and rolled bak to older ones, sadly you dont have this option :(

So the old ones I've been trying to install won't work and that's why I'm getting the errors?

Yeah, the 980ti is too new for the 350 drivers, Are you installing GeForce experience? If so try the driver only, and tick clean install.

If not, install GeForce experience aswell.

Yup,

see my edit ^^ :)

I see, I'm downloading that one now. That's the one I had before and it was terrible. Ah so I'm stuck with this one til they release a new stable one? That's **** lol.

Thanks for the help mate :)

In the BIOS is the display set to auto IGPU and Discrete?

Make sure its not set to only run from IGPU

Yeah that's fine I just checked

I understand now. I did have GeForce experience before yeah so I'll try that this time.

That's a shame, I hope Nvidia fix this problem as soon as then! Not impressed!

Bear in mind that some 980ti owners have 0 issues with all their games, But some do have issues with certain games.

I could not use the new drivers on my 780 as it caused crashes after 2 mins, like you are getting, But I rolled the drivers back to 350 ones and it was perfect.

Hope you get it sorted without waiting for newer drivers :)

Yeah hopefully they can fix this..waited so long to play some games!

I've installed the driver now and it's working.

I do keep getting a memory error in GTA V though, is that to do with the paging file size?
