I'm looking to create a test subnet with a server 2008 vm and a couple of windows 7 vms. (on Hyper-v)
Not usually a problem.
The issue is that the physical box is supporting a production sbs 08 vm - hence the need for different subnets. I don't want the two interfering with each other and only one nic.
In Hyper-v there is a virtual network manager with the ability to do virtual switching but I'm not familiar with it. Does anybody know if it can be set up to handle two subnets?
If not then I'll need to consider vlans with a physical router but I'd prefer to be able to do it virtually.
Any pointers gratefully received.
