multiple svchost.exe

I just checked my processes and i have 14 x svchost.exe running.

Surely thats not right? ya? no?

I've got 6 svchost.exe processes probably doesn't help you much though

You dont say what OS your using, but I have Vista x64 and have 14 of them

I'm using Vista Ultimate 32bit.

Edit - If you right click the process, then click "go to service(s)" It'll show you what services are using them.

Download processexplorer from sysinternals and find out what is instantiating a svchost process.

Its fairly normal to see many instances of svchost.exe running at any one time[I have 7 running].

If you goto sysinternals and download Process Explorer, it will show you what services are registered to each process running;
