Just wondering if there is any legislation prohibiting having multiple URL's redirect to one website.

Im about to start my own website project to earn a bit of money and do not want to lose custom to people who buy similar URL's and immitate my design, however do not know whether this is against any Internet legislation. Naturally i know i cant buy all of the URL's similar, but the key ones to reduce competition would be highly advantageous.

I don't know of any specific legislation prohibiting this, but I don't see any problems doing it. Google does it (see gogle.com, gooogle.com, googel.com etc)

Google also own gooooooooooooooooooooooooogle.com and similar :D

There's generally not a problem so long as you're not buying up trademarked domains :)
