Multiple user saved games Windows 10

Can't really find what should be an easy answer.

How does Windows 10 handles saved games for multiple users, does it work like a console, saved to a user profile specific location or if I set up a profile for the kids will it overwrite my saves? Or is it not a simple answer because it's game specific?

Saved games are usually saved in the documents folder of the user.

It's a bit annoying as saves are tied to user accounts, so you have to switch users in windows rather then just hit a button in steam (or your favourite store). It makes sense from a 'this is how people should use the os' sense, just not from a 'how people actually use the os' perspective.

Maybe but I can limit privileges on a user account for my kids, stop them crapping up my PC and saving over my games
