hey guys,
i've got a section within my router called Multiplexing Method Vc-based or LLC-based and options for VPI and VCI settings, i just want to know what they are if any of you know, as i doubt my internet supplier will get back to me in the next thousand years if i asked :D

thanks :)

thanks tolien, yeah i got some of the same results when i tried wikipedia and i was just wondering if these settings would make any difference in my internet connection as i've been having some disconnection problems, but yeah just a bit curious why the settings are there.
my disconnections are intermittant and don't last very long so i know my isp won't do anything about it, and i've done all the usual checks to my router but alas one idle tuesday evening playing games and boom 3 disconnects in a row.
bit annoying but i guess that happens to everyone that has adsl sometimes.

The settings are there because other providers use different values (e.g. Be use VPI 0/ VCI 101 versus BT Wholesale 0/38).
They won't change the ADSL side of things but are a layer above that.
