Multiplier differs from BIOS and CPU-Z

Hi everyone I was wondering whether this is correct. I have a Gigabyte P35 DQ6 and updated the BIOS to be F6. In my BIOS it says the Multiplier is set to 9x but when I run CPU-Z it says multiplier is set at 6x but it often jumps from 6x to x9.

Under 6x the Core Clock Speed is: 1860MhZ (1.9GhZ)
Under 9x the Core Clock Speed is: 2760MhZ (2.8GhZ)

Bus Speed is: 310MhZ
Rated FSB: 1240MhZ

Is this normal and I was wondering whether someone could explain to me the Bus Speed idea as I have GeiL DDR2 RAM which is suppose to be 800MhZ, not sure whether they are underclocked. Would appreciate some advice.

Thanks in advance, PiKkOn.

Thanks guys for the help. Would you know by any chance whether my memory is running at its correct speed, this is what I am getting at the moment:

Bus Speed 320.0 MhZ
Rated FSB: 1280.0 MhZ

Should it be running at 400MhZ?

Thanks, Pikkon

Does the ratio really matter? I have seen people say you need a good ratio but is this really true?

Thanks for your help mate :)

Cheers mate I managed to get it to stay at 9x multiplier and clocked the CPU at 2.7GhZ but still the RAM ain't performing to what it should be at 375MhZ falling short of 50MhZ.

I got a overclock before of 25MhZ but after disabling the Speedstep everything got resetted :(

Thanks for the help everyone, kudos to you both! :)
