just been into cpuz - my core speed is going up and down and so is the multiplier?

what could cause this

computer is benchmark, prime and game stable and running at 30'C

is there any way i can stop the multi from changing?
system info and core temp are reading at 3GHz no changes
just cpuz is changing

performance graph in task manager is up and down a little more than normal too

Are you running Vista, check the power options in control panel, it might be set to balanced or something simular, if it is try changing to high performance.

sorted - the epu drivers for my motherboard were what was causing it

why asus made an environmentally friendly motherboard that overclocks well is beyond me
:p

on the topic how do you turn speed step off? had a quick look in bios but couldnt see anything relating to it (using a ip35-e btw)
