Multiplier limit?

I was just wondering if there was any way to increase the possible multiplier limit such as a bios mod?
Is it an integral part of the chips or simply an arbritary limit imposed by intel?

So for example on IB k processors it's 63* max multiplier, can you somehow change this to 64+.

I'd recommend purchasing some liquid nitrogen before trying 63 nevermind 64+

Yes, I believe this is a hard limit on the CPU itself - so no BIOS mod (going from this at least).

I won't be approaching anywhere near 63* multi, was just interested to know
