Hi all,

Im trying to overclock my AMD 7750 on a Foxconn board but the settings dont seem to be taking affect. The multiplier is unlocked for the 7750 but increasing it then booting into windows still shows it as 13.5 x 200 but the bios shows
15 x 200.

I have updated to the latest bios.

Any ideas?

Ignore windows it wont recognise the clock details it only recognises the chip - trust the BIOS, your setting will have saved.

Download cpuz if you want to get a more accurate reading in the windows enviroment. This will show you the true speed that your cpu is running at and other info that you may find of use.

I have checked with CPUZ installed and the setting is still the stock 13.5 x 200 even though in the bios I have set the multi to 15....

Any more ideas?

Can i just check - when you go into the BIOS it reads 15 x 200 - you're not having to change it each time?

You may need to check that the motherboard isn't reverting back to default after you've saved you settings - it may not be happy with the clock. Try a lower clock and see what cpu-z reports. If it recognises the lower clock, then the mobo is just bumping you off the higher clock. You could try a lower multiplier setting and a higher fsb as clock choice too - and remember to look at the ram divider as you may be restricted by your memory.

You could also try d/ling EVEREST Free Edition - and see what that has to say.
