Hi,
Known about overclocking for years and played around with my AMD 64 and X2. I'm now on a C2D E6600 and my CPU seems to work better with a lower multiplier. I currenlty have 1.4 vcore, 800MHz RAM running 1:1 and 8x400. I saeem to be getting really decent temps, basically idle at 33 on both cores and Load is about 50. When I tried it using the higher multiplier I had much higher temps. Is there anything to do with multiplier and heat? I thought the CPU would be under the same stress and so temps would be the same?
Cheers,
Blue
