I've bought a house and most rooms have speakers in the ceilings, they're 4" 20W RMS 8 Ohm things - I don't recognise the brand (Visaton) and they probably don't sound great.
But given all the wiring is there, I'd like to make use of them - and upgrade the speakers if I make use of it.
All of the wires lead into one of the spare rooms, into a passive switched distribution block. My plan is to replace this switch setup with a multi channel amp and 7 Chromecast Audios (one for each room with speakers in).
I'm not really sure what to look for (or to avoid) with buying the amp I'd need, so any pointers or tips would be appreciated.
