Multirotor, multicopter and quadcopter discussion - The Drone thread

Been upgraded to a Matrice 4E as my work drone and coming from a Mavic 2 Pro it's quite the step up!

The controller alone is worth more than the Mavic 2 Pro kit cost originally but for surveying type work there isn't much better at this size unless you step up to M400 territory with the L3 or P1 cameras but they're eye wateringly expensive.

Very impressed with the build quality of the M4E and the number of cameras on the gimbal too - someone else in the organisation got funding for the thermal version and that's mad with 6 lenses on the gimbal (although one is just a NIR light).

Compared it to my own Mini 4 Pro and the old Mavi 2 Pro and its amazing the evolution they've gone through.

Will be interesting to see what use I can get out of LRF the gimbal has in it besides laser AF as the initial thing I've noticed when digging in the menus on the remote.

Feel free to share any footage you can.

I'll have to report back once I've had a proper first go with it - I can't even fly it as yet until it's in the Ops Manual etc but looking forward to getting to know all its features.

The organisation does have a M300 but I've yet to see that in action although I know they have a number of different payloads for it.

The thermal M4T also had the spotlight bought with it to use for deer surveys although we don't currently have night flight permissions from the CAA so we'll have to get that added in.

Any recommendations for a cinewhoop please?
Id like something small for around the house and outside to practice that's not as big as my avata 2 or 4" quad and it's a bit more crash resistance

I've been looking at the Pavo22 but stock seems non existent, I think I'm going to stick with the O4 infrastructure as I've already got the Avata 2 with the goggles and fpv controller 3... Any recommendations please?

I'm a Futaba user from gliders/electric planes and my 4 inch quad however I don't think that this setup would be compatible. I've looked at the TBS Mambo but unsure on what route to go...

Coming back to the hobby since 2015, bought a Air65 II and replaced my old Fatshark Predators with some used Fatshark HD3. I've flown more in the last two weeks round the house then I ever did with my old 250mm / 5 inch quads.

Have a Darkstar22 on the way. Batteries seem tricky to get hold of without paying a premium! What's going on with stock? Even newly released drones in the last few months are all out of stock in UK. Not much left at all. Iran perhaps?

I think it’s probably that and perhaps also backlog from Chinese new year. I’m waiting on batteries and a Air75 and also looking for vrx analog modules and while I know they’re old tech they just seem non existent.
