Multirotor, multicopter and quadcopter discussion - The Drone thread

If it's flying, don't F with it!

And Syndicate wars lol. I remember playing the original Syndicate on the Amiga!

Get a hex. One to fly whilst the other ones on the bench. Unless you do what i did on Sunday and that was break both of them. Was a glorious, still and sunny morning though!

That's the thing, it had 3 strip down and rebuilds to get it airborne as well as it is now. Can't bring myself to tear it apart as it's flying so well at the moment...

Got bits on the way for a micro brushed FPV build, the wait is killing me :(

Yeah, Syndicate was awesome, loved both games and expansions. Satellite Reign isn't far away, it will literally be the only game I have looked forward to play this year

Doing long circuits now, FPV makes flying these things so much easier one you get your head around the perspective.

I need people to race with now haha!

If anyone is interested, DJI are announcing their new multirotor later.

Called Inspire and going from 'leaked photo's' it does look different and supposed to be ground breaking :)

Live Video of event @ midnight ish......

While it looks like a cool concept, for real world it seems like they've made it over complicated and even more proprietary than previous kits.

Thinking about a 450 build for a gopro + gymbal. Any thoughts on this frame:

Its a copy of the DJI F450 and considering the original is not that expensive in the first place, id go with the DJI F450.

Its out of my price range. Ill be adding a gimbal and a few batteries to my Vision, that will keep me going for a while.

Until I win the lottery :)

DJI's new drone looks interesting - will be one to check out on youtube once more videos start cropping up!

Nice photos of the approaching storm there Ur round next! I can't wait to get out somewhere more open with my F550 and get some photos of places - am hoping to get some nice photos of an uncles estate in the coming months - plus his many deer from the air would look awesome!

Thanks mate and yeah i was watching there media event last night of the inspire 1 looks nice but upwards of £2500 to buy ouch

4k and Lighbridge, it wasn't going to be cheap. Not sure who this is aimed at anymore. 4 rotors are not enough for pro work (payload, stability, duration) and it's far more expensive than "hobbyist" Phantoms of old... There is obviously enough people out there ready to blow £2k+ on a flying digital camera which is a bit better than their last one.

How long til we see Inspire crash compilations on youtube? :p

Here are a few shots i took a couple of weeks ago of a approaching storm Flying a Phantom 2 with a gopro 3 Flying over my local sports feild
