Not yet, that's going to have to wait for pay day I've been impressed with the quality so far for a such a small, cheap camera. The video will be great once i get it mounted on a decent isolation mount.

That's the standard lens in photo mode and uncropped. I think it should be fine for FPV although I have zero experience in these things hahaha!

I could buy the wide angle lens separately though if I needed it.

Phantom 2 is basically an improved Phantom 1
Larger battery for 20 min flight times (however the batteries are £100 rather than the £20 they are for the P1)
CAN bus port on the leg for easy addition of iOSD, BTU etc.
Larger props (but these can be added to the P1)
Supports the H3-2D Zenmuse gimbal out of the box (The P1 requires that you solder in an upgrade board)
Updated version of the Naza FC

That's about it. It's not really a revolution, but more of an evolution of the original Phantom.

My Blade Nano QX will arrive tomorrow, sadly I'm working in Somerset tomorrow and not sure what time I'll be home.

I'm confused about how to setup my DX6i, the Nano manual seems to say to put it in Acro mode which shows a plane on the display, but on this thread here, they show a config with a heli profile http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=543747

I have no idea where to start.

Is £50 in the UK or from China? And #9? you sure you were looking at the HD camera version and not the SD version as they do both, the HD 1 having either HD or 2mp camera mentioned.

The HD 1 also includes a prop guard and prop removal tool which I don't think the SD 1 does.

Motors balanced, props balanced (2 sets, took forever ), camera tray ready (but not fitted), just need to tidy wiring up and sort out a better landing gear. Maidened it this morning at 7:45 am, much to the distress of my neighbours

The noise of the DT750 is a joy to behold and the HK multirotor control board 2.1 is surprisingly capable

The bought mine with the wide angle lens and am thinking of down grading to the normal lens as there is so much distortion.

I have all the bits here for my Tricopter except the wood. I have a G10 frame, Rcexplorer style yaw mech & servo (Hitec 5084MG nicked off one of my helis), DT750s and 10x5 props, SimonK flashed HK 20A ESCs and a KK2.0.

What are you using wood wise (12mm x 12mm?) and where did you get it if you don't mind me asking?

Also, how long are your booms? They look pretty long. I was going to go for around 350mm for the booms.

The helicopter style setup has been made because the people who wrote it are used to flying helis.

They've done that so they get a throttle hold switch (kills the motors) and self level toggle switch where they'd normally find the flight mode switch on the heli.

You can even try both types of set up. Create two new models (one heli, one acro) and enter both sets of parameters, you can bind the Nano QX to one model, try it, then bind it to the other and see which you like best. You can always bind it back to the first one you try.

Booms are from B&Q, 10.5mm X 10.5mm. Had to notch the rear boom a little with a file to get it to line fit in the tail section (4 screws close together). Front arms are 450mm and rear is ~50 I think, there was some maths involved but I was a little drunk Last year I tried a few combinations from 480mm all round to about 300mm but was on smaller props too (8x4.7 vs 10x4.5). This platform is more for slow, stable flight. It's good to experiment to see what you like as it's so easy to lop zip ties off and chop a bit of wood down

This combo has plenty of lifting power and can fairly shift!

Make sure you trim the motor shaft, really easy to ruin a DT750 with stock length shaft

Going to get myself an APM flight controller and a Mobius Actioncam for the summer

In this weather, might as well just be . Managed to get a clear 10 minutes to go up.

Really happy with the new props and dual batteries, was probably up and hovering/tweaking for about 15 minutes.

I went to B&Q but could only find 12mm x 15mm. Wickes have 12x12 but only had one piece which wasn't very straight.

Be weary of the mobius cam if you're using GPS. It seems it gives off some RF that interferes with it. There are plenty of videos on Youtube about it.

12x12mm works fine but does increase the angle of the front arms somewhat if you are using David's template. Finding straight pieces is a mare though. The few I had from last year I left in the boot of the car for ~6 months were warped to ****. A couple of weeks in the warm lashed together with zip ties sorted that (mostly)

Ahha, someone flying commercially. I have questions.
Did you do the BNUC-S or the RPQ-S qualification to obtain your CAA permission to perform aerial work? I've been getting ready to take the BNUC-S but some people are saying to do the RPQ-S instead.

I wondered if you have a view on this?
