Quick proper test flight outside in the street with my Q450 and it's great. A tiny bit of forwards drift when in auto level mode. Going to get it charged up and ready for an proper outing over next few days. Very chuffed with it so far.

Go Pro mounted tonight as well - need some time and space to test properly. Also some decent weather would help!

Weight is 1310 grams with everything on (battery/go pro/case etc)

Sure,

I bought turnigy nano tech 260mAH lipo's from ebay, (e.g. here) or hobbyking.

And I use an over lander rc6-vsp which I bought for my sons rc car, but it can do all chemistries and can handle large charge rates (way more than necessary but it is handy to have a charger you can use for everything)

Last, a small micro losi adapter lead, I choose tamiya to losi micro since that lead is most often on my charger. I got this from eBay.

My girlfriend got me a small rc helicopter for Christmas that is a bit trash tbh, I had so much fun with it though I have ordered my self a little Hubsan Q4 to terrorize her around the house with. Quite looking forward to getting it :D
 
Is it possible that a wifi connection/signal between my go pro camera and phone with go pro app running interfered with the Tx/Rx combo on my quad?

One very broken quad - flew great on first proper test flight outside in big open area. However after adding my go pro - flew great as well, and then I turned on the go pro app to adjust some settings from my phone. (go pro + phone hook up as if they are on the same wifi signal)

quad took off fine but within about 20 seconds something wasn't right and quad started to take on a mind of it's own, spin round and then flying off, and about 10 seconds later drop out the sky!

It certainly wasn't out of range as I had flown further before with it. Anyway - surveying the damage doesn't look good! (landed upside down).

At least 3 broken props, a few bits of soldering and despite being inside the quad, the KK board screen has come off so that looks done too!! Ouchy.

Looks like video didn't happen for some reason either!

My other half got me a Hubsan Q4 for Christmas, looks really cool but the receiver with video screen doesn't power on, so having to send mine back, hope you have better luck :)

Just checked yes it is the X4 not the Q4 (soz), dropped an email the online shop where it was purchased from to get it returned/replaced, hopefully it will be painless as they look like loads of fun.
 
I grabbed a new but marked x4 controller form ebay for like £10 as it looked easier to use than the tiny controller with the q4. it does look like loads of fun for some indoor flying though :D

Beware. I don't think there's anyone in this thread who bought an X4 that hasn't since spent many hundreds of pounds on other multi rotors :p.

I will soon have a Q4, and X4, a carbon 250, and a girlfriend who thinks I have stupid hobbies :D

Afraid not. I will raise it with the MM dons next time we discuss adding more stuff to the MM. Can't promise anything though and so for the minute, you can't buy and sell MR stuff on here.

I started with a DJI Vision, built a 250 then got an X4 :)
 
I just bought a crashed DJI Phantom FC40 today for £50! I'd seen a few crash over last few days. I been watching eBay, newly listed, distance nearest first, Gumtree, Facebook.

Blaged it with a 2 extra battery's. Needs new props, landing gear and the case. Everything else is fine. I've bought all the new parts with a higher landing gear for £30 inc a sticker sheet.

Nothing had been configured or set-up. I even got the box :) Will fix it up once all the parts are here and maybe flog it
