Music disapeared from ipod?

I have an iPood mini and i turned it on this morning and found there was no music section, the option has disappeared from the menu , I only have , extras,shuffle songs, back light etc but no music option? :confused:

, I tried a reset but that didnt work! any ideas?

settings > main menu > music = off - turn it to on

Shouldn't have bought some cheap copy! Get rid of that iPood and get an iPod!

Joking aside, does the iPod mini have a HDD? Or is it flash? If the former then perhaps you dropped it and now it is buggered? I dropped my Creative Zen once and woosh music gone. Luckily for me I still have all my music on my PC and the Zen still works - after a format.
