music editting software?

Hi all,

I am going to be in need of editting some music soon. I won't be creating anything but it is going to be a case of taking several music tracks, cutting them down in segements and putting segments together in a set order.

I was just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for some (preferably free) software that will allow me to do this without over complicating it?

I know this isn't free but cubase is probably the best I've come across, used it for 3 years on my music course.

Audacity will do you fine. Powerful enough to do what you need while being completely accessible.
