If I make a folder anywhere and call it "music" it gets corrupted and I have to use recuva to get it back. I have tried differend HDDs, different paths etc. And not linked it to Windows' music folder attributes.
I have tried simply putting a jpeg in the folder and nothing else and accessing it later to find it is "empty" (recuva finds the jpeg).
I am going to reformat and I am sure that will fix the problem. Apart from malware, what kind of oddities could cause such a problem? I wouldn't be surprised if windows uses some very odd indexing thing based on simply folders named "music" - which is bugged out.
What a strange issue
