My folks are taking over the new Bistro next week and they're looking for suggestions on what music to have. It's quite oldey worldey if you know what i mean, situated in totnes.

Only specifications are they want instrumentals only really... I'd imagine they want a good mixture of old/new/styles... Any suggestions much appreachiated!

could you be anymore corny, Carzy? you definitely dont want Jazz there. you either love it or you hate it. and for those that love it, it's meant to be listened to, and can be very overbearing.

(from the name only) is it French food they're serving there, yak.h'cir?

Bull****. You can't beat a bit of Birth of the Cool or Blue Train (and if people don't like jazz, screw 'em, they ain't worth the effort).

Yeah I think Jazz could come across as a bit corny to the infidels that frequent Bistros. Granted they are not worth the time, but they also have money and you want that money. :D

Edit: You could just stuff the salad dressing with drugs then put what you like on of course.

whoa...little hostile. the only album i can think of (don't listen to a lot of Jazz, more just a Miles/Coltrane fan) is In a Silent Way. just because it's less in-yer-face jazz. you know i'm right.

i wouldn't particularly like to listen to Jazz whilst i'm eating.

Whatever they do please do not let them have dodgy cover versions of popular songs on, a local bar has what must be the "Worst covers in the world!!!"™ CD on constant play, even the staff take the mickey out of it.

I'd probably go with some jazz myself, however you could potentially include some more classical music, Vivaldi's Four Seasons or similar is pretty easy listening and might appeal to bistro goers. Finding only instrumentals probably limits you somewhat though.

What, what!?

I spelt weird right, and why are you using your instead of you're, jesus, god no, bleh, what, gnar, argh *brain explodes*

Edit:

On second thoughts, just Richard Cheese it. You know you want to.

it refers to intentionally misspelling any part of that sentence. using "your" incorrectly in this case, just because i like to.

I know what (sic) means 'tard. But I was just confused as to why you deliberately misspelt your. But now I know it's because you have full blown AIDS.

Calm down ladies, this is about helping yak.h'cir find music for his folks bistro, not about your petty rivalries :p

I'd guessed as much, it is all a bit "chase me" and "ooh you naughty boy" style to be anything other than a teenage infatuation but I wish you every happiness together ;)

Argh this is dragging me down to the level of an MSN conversation on the forums and that would be the best place for it. Sorry for the off-topicness yak.h'cir.

But you'll have to love Fall Out Boy if you want my proper love.
