Hi guys and gals. I'm after a bit of help i back up all my music onto dvd in case of any problems with my comp. What i want to know is it possible to use a dvd with all the music on and play it in a normal cd player?
Obviously with the amount of music you can get on a dvd compared to a cd its a lot better i:e if i put a dvd in and use WMP can i just add music then burn it and use it in my standard car cd player or do i need special software to convert them? Sorry if this has been asked before or if it is a daft question. I have a habit of asking them!!!:D

Ok so a lot of my music is mp3 is there no way to compress them to put more onto a cd? Or does this come to converting them to wav format again? If so how would i convert them plz?

Thanks for the replys guys!!!

Yes i have made cd's using the music of my comp but only put on the limit about 80 minutes in length just wondering if there was a way to put on MORE!!
I always like more!:D
Thanks again for the replys Paradigm.;)

So your car CD player can read MP3 data CD's?

The only things you can do (unless it can read DVD's) is to lower the bitrate, and buy 99min CDs.

What car stereo do you have?

Its a works van with a standard cd player. Vauxhall. Thanks for your help suppose i will have to stop being tight and buy the 99min cd's!!

Paradigm is right, if your car CD player can't read mp3 data (mp3 playback I think) then it won't work.

if you've got a spare cd, try burn the mp3's to cd as data with NERO or something. you can get about 700mb on a cd.

worth a try???

hope it helps.
