My first outing with the 30D, shooting it next to my 20D with the 50mm on the 20 and 85mm on the 30D, shooting at the same location as i was last month with the Amy Wadge pictures:
Lighting was a pain in the **** as usual, iso3200 for the natural light shots and iso1600 + flash for most of them, but at least i could bounce this time as they were further out from the stage thus under the domed bit of the roof Also had the problem of trying not to get in front of people as it is at a "dinner" club as such, where tables surround the stage:
Very nice pictures but i feel that most of the first few ones look way to red, take the red level down a bit in photoshop. But apart from that, very nice shots.
I agree with themask70. Some of the pictures appear to be very red and its a shame that you had to use iso 3200 on some of the shots as they are noticable. The noise gives queit a nice effect on the mono shots though. You did well for saying how much space you had looked tight down there!!

I agree, they are very red....but that was the intention of the lighting crew. The lighting was so red that it wasnt possible when shooting ambient to bring it back, as in even with a custom whitebalance it was still red. So instead of trying to make it look white, i made it look how it actually was. I've actually already reduced the saturation on a lot of these.
