Ejay is ok for fun and it is cheap other then that your talking money.
Ableton 8 is about the best out there.

Sibelius for editing with scores, Cubase is very powerful for mixing music, although takes a while to get used to and is a bugger to compose with.
I'm still a Reaper fan though.

As much as I have tried to use a PC for writing music, I still keep going back to my Ataris.
Sure, they dont offer me any stupid cheats, like half the PC junk out there, but at least I know that my music is 100% my own.
Plus I need 11 Midi outputs, ( 16 * 11 Channels ) and to mix Digital and Analog, and I need Direct to Disk recording in one little box and the PCs dont give me that, my Ataris do.

I see you have the Falcon
what software do you use? Steinberg/Calkwalk(in there old form) maybe.
CuBase Audio on the Falcon mostly.
